Get Juicy

Summer may be on it's way out, but that doesn't mean we are packing up the blender or the sun screen just yet!

With that in mind, here are some delicious and nutrient rich recipes for making your daily dose of Renew+ or Volcanic Detox an instant hit!

Even if you don't own a juicer, you can still make these recipes by blending the ingredients on high until well blended, then straining them through a sieve or mesh material (or bag) such as muslin cloth

If you are able to find organic fruits and vegetables that's awesome.. if not try soaking your fruits and veggies in a sink or large bowl of water with 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar and soak for around 20 mins to help remove any pesticides.

For all recipes we suggest adding 1/2 - 1 scoop of Renew+ or a full scoop of Volcanic Detox.

Green Glory

Recipe adapted from Marin Mama Cooks

Ingredients: (Plus 1 scoop Renew+)

  • 6 to 8 kale leaves, washed and de-stemmed
  • 2 green apples – cored and cut into chunks
  • 3 – 4 stalks celery, cut into chunks
  • 2-inch piece of ginger, peeled (if ginger is not your thing then you can leave this part out)
  • 1/2 lemon and zest for extra tang
  • 1 cucumber peeled and cut into large chunks
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 Handful of ice

Directions:

Pour 1 cup of water into the blender.  Add in the chopped apple, chopped celery, chopped cucumber and peeled lemon, and blend away until liquefied.  Add in the ginger (if using) and the de-stemmed kale leaves and puree until smooth.

Take your sieve or mesh (ie muslin) cloth/bag and place over a large bowl.

If using a sieve, use a rubber scraper to push the juice through the pulp and into the bowl. If using muslin type cloth, bunch up into a bag shape and squeeze out the juice, discarding the pulp at the end.
